Niksen: 2: The LNFG Release Explained

The new Miracle Mile album ‘Niksen’ will be available on vinyl and CD and as a download in January, 2028. I know, I know: that’s 14 months away. Let me explain:
The album will be released by Scottish label Last Night From Glasgow (LNFG). The label operates as an ethical alternative to the traditional music industry, focusing on artist rights, fair remuneration, and community patronage. Their unique ‘not for profit’ process involves encouraging pre-orders, usually for about 6 months before release. As well as providing time to promote and gather reviews, this also offers wiggle-room to gauge realistic vinyl and CD production numbers required. LNFG’s area of expertise is very much vinyl. They use the highly regarded East Lothian ‘Seabass’ plant whose pressings are consistently stunning.
‘Niksen’ will see a slight change to LNFG’s usual release process. This will particularly please any vinyl junkies out there. In order to ensure optimal vinyl sound quality, each side of a platter is best limited to 20 minutes max. This would mean leaving several songs off the vinyl version. LNFG founder Ian Smith had an idea: why not have a ‘pre-release’ release: a ‘deluxe double’: 2 platters in a gatefold sleeve that would include the songs omitted from the single LP. This strictly ‘limited edition’ double album (100 dove grey copies only) would be released 6 months ahead of schedule: in the summer of 2027.
Pre-Order 'Niksen' here.
As ever, thank you for your support.
