Corsica Bound: Diary of Departure: 9

Monday
After yesterday’s scorcher we have another cloudy day.
We take a drive into the mountains and eventually end up in Algaghola for a late afternoon stroll around this charming beachside village. We mooch around the potteries and craft shops, we then leave the tourist trail for a beer and a glass of rose before returning home for a lazy evening on the top terrace.
Supper is chicken curry with baked rice which Di declares ‘a bum burner.’
Bed, book and brandy:
I’m now reading David Mitchell’s ‘Ghostwritten’. An intriguing mix of travelogue, thriller, ghost story…
Ipod: A Girl Called Eddy: Never heard of her since but her deliciously dour debut is gorgeous; like Dusty on downers...
Song of the Day: ‘People Used to Dream About the Future’
